The Pull of Purpose

“You possess a kind of inner force that seeks to guide you toward your Life’s Task—what you are meant to accomplish in the time that you have to live.”

Robert Greene

The Storm’s Insight

If you’ve wrestled with questions of purpose, you’re not lost—you’re being summoned.

Purpose is rarely discovered by thinking. It reveals itself in the body, in the longings that refuse to die, in the quiet ache that follows you through every job, every season, every attempt to pretend you’re satisfied.

We hunger for work that matters.
We yearn to serve something greater than ourselves.
We want to suffer for the sacred.

And yet most days feel consumed by survival—bills, routines, obligations, noise.

Still the pull remains.

But here’s the question to ask yourself: If money were irrelevant and survival guaranteed, what would you do simply because you can’t not do it?

Let that question sit.

Let yourself feel it in the core of your being.

Notice what stirs in you—what intuitions rise, what impulses tighten in your chest, what images flare to life without permission.

Remember what once brought you joy and wonder as a child.

Some of us burn to create: words, music, art, systems, order.
Some of us burn to serve: to heal, to build, to feed, to hold others with presence.
Some burn to teach: to translate the world into meaning.
Some burn to compete: to push the edge, to enter the arena again and again.

The point is not which category you fall into.
The point is recognition.
Your discontent is not a flaw—it is a compass.
It is the Lover’s longing fused with the Sovereign’s demand for alignment.

The one thing that lights you on fire is calling you in your discontent. It is the beckoning of the Self—your purpose revealing its shape.

Go all in.
Pull the thread until it leads you to the center of yourself.

Find your greatness in what you love.

The Forge’s Reflection

Purpose is the truth that keeps returning until you finally turn toward it.

The Sovereign’s Task

Ask yourself today: “Where in my life am I suffering because I’m ignoring what I already know?”
